and his beloved dog Tess.

Hit by a car in Mexico, safe in LA. Read Duncan's story

Duncan the dog

Duncan is a two-year-old Golden Retriever. He was a stray and was hit by a car in Tijuana, Mexico. He was rescued and transported to Los Angeles where he was put under the care of our partners Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue. They took him to the Animal Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Duncan was diagnosed with a fractured pelvis and tibia. He underwent surgery and his vet believes he has a good chance of recovering with no disabilities. He is currently being cared for by an SCGRR foster family. He will have a 6-8 week immobilization and rehabilitation period before he will be available for adoption.

Tess McIntyre Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity that raises funds to support rescue dogs that need medical care in order to restore their health and prepare them for adoption. Donations to the foundation will help us help more dogs like Nemo and his brothers and sister.
