and his beloved dog Tess.

Roxie

Roxie

Roxie is a nine-year-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix. She was abandoned by her owners who couldn’t deal with her medical problems. When she was rescued by our partners Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue she had three tumors, including one the size of a softball on her right shoulder.

SCGRR got Roxie the care she needed and placed her with a foster. Her tumors have been removed and she is recovering. One of the tumors was sent for a biopsy and they are awaiting the results.

The Tess McIntyre Foundation is sponsoring Roxie with a donation to help offset the costs of her surgery and care. We are proud to be able to assist this dog who was left homeless at an advanced age.

Our friends at SCGRR have this to say about Roxie: “Roxie is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She follows her foster mom around the house as a constant companion even though she is hurting. She is, in all ways, a very wonderful and affectionate dog who didn’t deserve to lose her home after nine years.
